Description

This stock certificate (No. 1633) represents 100 shares valued at $100 each for the Original Keystone Silver Mining Company. This mine was one of the first claims of the Comstock Lode.

Notable Bond Imagery

A vignette in the “O” is of a keystone, which is the center stone of an arch-type structure. The second vignette depicts two horses on their hind legs in front of a portrait of a boat, till, and wheat. On top of this portrait is an eagle and below it are the words “Liberty, Virtue, Independence.” In the top right corner is the company seal reading “The Original Keystone Silver Mining Company, Comstock Ledge.”
