This stock certificate (No. 69) represents 100 shares valued at $100 each for the San Juan Consolidated Mining Company. The bond is signed by Company Secretary and Treasurer Thomas Bowen who was a U.S. senator for Colorado for six years and a general under Ulysses S. Grant in the Civil War.

This is to Certify that (illegible) is the owner of One Hundred Shares, of the denomination of One Hundred Dollars each per SHare, of full paid non-assessable Stock in the San Juan Consolidated Mining Company, transferable only on the Books of the Company on the surrender of this Certificate properly endorsed.

In testimony whereof the said Company has hereto affixed its Corporate Seal, and caused the same to be attested by its President and SEcretary and Treasurer at Del Norte, Colorado, this 28th day of October AD. 1873
