This certificate (No. 2124) is a Land-Office Treasury Warrant to the principal surveyor of Virginia. It is signed by George Rogers Clarke, a Kentucky Surveyor that rallied pioneers against Native American attacking incidents.

						The Land-Office Treasury Warrant Reads:
Land-Office Treasury WARRANT, No. 2124
	To the principal Surveyor of any County within the Commonwealth of Virginia.
	This shall be your WARRANT to Survey and lay off in one or more Surveys for George Rogers Clarke his Heirs or assigns, the Quantity of Five hundred and Sixty Acres of Land, due to the said Clarke in hunt for Recruiting his Batalion Sin him of the bounty of 750 (illegible) in Confideration of the Sum of Two hundred *illegible* four pounds current Money paid into the publick Treasury; the Payment whereof to the Treasurer hath been duly certified by the Auditors of publick Accounts, and their Certificate received into the Land Office. GIVEN under my Hand, and the Seal of the said Office, on this Twenty Ninth Day of January in the Year One Thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty
